A simple algorithmic room reverb with three controls, meant for the end of a chain where a room belongs. It is a classic comb-and-allpass design, not a convolution reverb, and it does not pretend to model a measured space.
Controls
- Room Size sets the length of the tail, from a small booth to a large hall.
- Damping sets how quickly the tail loses its top end. Higher values sound darker and more absorbent.
- Mix blends the reverb with the dry signal (default 30%).
The rings and strokes on the face illustrate the settings; they are not a measurement of the decay time or the size of a room.
Getting started
Reverb Stage is an audio effect: play a recording through it or connect an input. Start from the Default preset, then raise Room Size for a longer tail and Damping to keep it from getting bright.
