Install and safety

Beta. The author marks this release as beta.

Maru offers its own install only for open-source releases with a complete install record, after its installer has completed a full install and restore on a physical M-VAVE FM-1.

  • Put the unit on stock V15 first, and keep your own copy of the stock file from M-VAVE’s downloads so you can go back.
  • Back up your presets with the current firmware’s own export before installing.
  • Rescue: Hold OCT− alone while switching on to start in USB rescue. (fm1-editor.com directory).
  • If something goes wrong, follow the recovery ladder.
  • GitHub's latest tag still reads v2.6 while the author's directory entry lists 3.4; check the installer page for the current build.
  • The author also maintains the FM-1 Firmware Hub.
