Place a sound source and a listener in a room, then strike. A struck resonator, like a small gong, plays from the source, and you hear it as it would sound from where the receiver stands. It is meant as a starting point you can copy and adapt for spatial sound in a game.
Controls
- Strike plays the resonator. Clicking or dragging in the room also strikes it.
- Drag in the room to move the source. Turn on Move receiver to move the listener instead.
- Walls picks the surface material, from Brick, Concrete and Plaster to Carpet, Curtains, Wood and Glass. Room mix blends between the dry strike and the room.
- Strike position, Velocity, Size, Damping and Mallet (Yarn, Felt, Wood or Metal) shape the struck object itself.
- Level sets the output volume.
Getting started
Room and Receiver makes its own sound; it needs no input. Strike once, then move the source and the receiver apart and strike again, and compare a hard wall material such as Concrete with Curtains. After you move something, the room takes a moment to prepare its new response; the status line shows the progress. For now it runs in the browser.
