A simple feedback delay for repeats and ambience: one delay line, fed back into itself and blended with the dry signal. Short times thicken a sound, longer times give you echoes, and the feedback is capped so the repeats can sing without running away.

Controls
- Time is the spacing between repeats, up to one second. Below about 50 ms the repeat stops sounding like an echo and fuses with the source, colouring it instead.
- Feedback is how much of each repeat feeds back in. It stops at 0.95, so even at the top the repeats eventually die away.
- Mix sets the level of the repeats against the dry signal.
The display draws the first four repeats, where they land in time and how loud they are, worked out from the current settings. There is no tempo sync or tap tempo; set Time in milliseconds.
Getting started
Delay Stage is an audio effect: play a recording, a guitar or a voice through it. The factory presets are a good map of what a single delay can do:
- Default: an eighth note at 120 BPM, lightly fed back.
- Slapback: one short repeat, no feedback, the rockabilly double.
- Doubler: below the echo threshold, the repeat fuses with the source.
- Dotted Eighth: repeats fall between the beats at 120 BPM.
- Quarter Note: one beat at 120, well fed back.
- Runaway: sixteenths at near-maximum feedback, piling into a texture.
How it works.
One delay line with a feedback gain, running in parallel with the dry path. The feedback gain is clamped below 1 in code rather than by knob range alone, because an unbounded feedback loop is a monitoring hazard, not a creative option.
Named delay-stage in the roster because FX Mini already publishes a delay.* namespace; the module is called Delay everywhere it is shown.
